This is my longest ride on the Gold Coast.

We stay at Broadwater Tourist Park, Southport.
I headed out the park, and turned south along the shared path, past the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, where this year's Comm Games were held in April 2018. Continued on past the Cafe Rockpool, past Australia Fair Shopping Centre over the Nerang river and past the Southport Yacht Club, where I crossed over Seaworld Drive and continue along the shared path, past the Southport SLSC. Onto Main Beach parade until The Narrows where the shared path starts again. Follow it the whole way past the highrises of Surfer to Laycock St. This is where the shared path ends and I ride along Northcliffe Tce, Garfieldd Tce, Old Burleigh Rd, along the shared path through Broadbeach. Continuing along the bike path on Hedges Ave, onto Albatross Ave, along Marine Parade (past Robbie McEwen's cafe at Hythe St), along the Esplanade to Burleigh Headland. From here I retrace my route back to Surfers, stop opposite the Surfers SLSC where I take my daily weather photo, then make my way out to The Spit, usually along the Federation Walk. Coming back stopping at Southport SLSC for a coffee as Cafe Rockpool is still closed due to the Comm Games. After coffee I back track to Narrowneck, where I ride a lap and a bit of MacIntosh Is Park, (this park has Geese, Lyrebirds amongst others) then over the Nerang River bridge, where ride a lap of the Eagles Rugby club. Continuing on to Lands End at Biggera Creek, before heading back to camp. BUT first, I usually stop and check out our Apartment.

A total distance of approx 65kms.
