Day 99 - Saturday 29th July 2017.

A relaxing day - Dicky Beach Day 11.

I slept like a log again, and we woke about 7:00am, and laid in bed and watched "Weekend Sunrise" then got ourselves organised.
Lukey and family were leaving this morning and called in just after 9:00am, to say good bye. They arrived home about 1pm, after stopping at a few spots.

After Lukey left, Marg and I drove over to Currimundi markets for a coffee at Muffin Break, where we also read the Gold Coast Bulletin on our iPads. Followed by a food shop next door at Woollies, then headed back to camp.

Back at camp, Marg eased into painting rocks, which is some new fad, while I turned into 'cycleman'. I headed off to the Lighthouse at Mooloolaba. My usual route, it was a great day for a ride with a gentle breeze.

My riding stats: Today's ride of 33.8kms was ride #5 and gives me a total of 169.6kms at Dicky and 1,101.24kms on the Gold Coast, giving me a total of 1,270.8kms so far in Qld.

I arrived back at camp about 1;20pm and Marg was still up and but she soon succumbed to the 'nanna nap bug' and I buggered about on my laptop and watched the V8 Supercars. Go Lowndesy. Update: He finished 5th, improving.

Dinner was Mr Mc Cain's pizza slices. They were nice.

Tomorrow, we plan to do equal to today.

11:17am - Heading North at Coondibah Creek.

11:50am - Westpac helicopter was training new recruits.

12:21pm - Beautiful weather.

1:13pm - Back at Coondibah Creek nearly home.

Day 100 - Sunday 30th July 2017.

A relaxing day - Dicky Beach Day 12.

I slept like a log again, and we woke about 7:00am, and laid in bed and watched "Weekend Sunrise" then got ourselves organised.
We had nothing planned except that I wanted a coffee, SO Marg and I walked over the road around 9:30am to 'Reelax at Dickie' and had a coffee and read the Sunday papers on our iPads. Jo and Mont 'dropped' some rocks around the caravan park, shops etc, SO we checked on them, they had ALL been taken and a lady posted on FaceBook during the arvo that she had found them.

Back at camp, Marg painted some more rocks and did bugger all, while I turned into 'cycleman'. I headed off to the Lighthouse at Mooloolaba. My usual route, it was a great day for a ride with a bloody awful head wind BUT it was a magnificent ride back with a strong tail wind.

My riding stats: Today's ride of 33.6kms was ride #6 and gives me a total of 203.2kms at Dicky and 1,101.24kms on the Gold Coast, giving me a total of 1,304.4kms so far in Qld.

I arrived back at camp about 1;00pm and Marg was still up, but similar to yesterday, she soon succumbed to the 'nanna nap bug' and I buggered about on my laptop and watched the V8 Supercars. Go Lowndesy. Update: He finished 6th, not as good as yesterday's 5th.

Dinner was a scratch meal of cheese and bikkies washed down with a chilled refresher or two. Marg is currently into Midori.

Tomorrow, we are having coffee with Stalker and Mrs Stalker at Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore.

10:46am - Heading North at Coondibah Creek.

11:44am - Today's weather photo.

11:46am - Great day for a sail.

11:48am - Great day for a sail.

11:53am - This dude entertained me.

12:51pm - Nearly home.

Day 101 - Monday 31st July 2017.

Coffee with my Stalker and his wife - Dicky Beach Day 13.

I slept like a log again, and we woke about 7:15am, and laid in bed and watched "Sunrise" then got ourselves organised.
We had to meet Stalker at 10:30am at Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore, SO we left at 9;30am and arrived with 20 minutes to spare. We walked past the Coffee Club but they weren't there, so we checked out a few shops like Target and $2 shop. I needed to buy a pair of thongs, so while at Target, I found them and at $4 a pair, I lashed out and bought 2 pairs. I know very extravagant.

We arrived back at The Coffee Club, bang on 10;30am and both Mr and Mrs Stalker were there. We ordered coffees and chatted and chatted. It was great to catch up with them again. It didn't feel like 12 months since we last met in person but it was. Unbelieveable, the joys of getting old. After an hour of chatting we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. It was great catching up with Mr and Mrs Stalker.

Before leaving Sunshine Plaza, we stopped at Spuds for lunch and then stopped at Bunnings and bought a bag of river rocks for painting. See, I told you that Marg is mad.

Back at camp, I spent the arvo re-coding some of my photos (Thanks Photobucket - you BASTARDS), while Marg caught that 'nanna nap bug' again.
I am trying to eat some of our frozen meals, so I can defrost the 12v freezer. Dinner was 2 frozen meals. They were nice.

Tomorrow, nothing is planned, I hope to ride.

No photos OR riding today.

Day 102 - Tuesday 1st August 2017.

A relaxing day - Dicky Beach Day 14.

I slept like a log again, and we woke about 7:15am, and laid in bed and watched "Sunrise" then got ourselves organised.
I was kicked out of bed and told to go for a ride, as Marg wanted me out of the fiver SO she could sweep it. Who am I to upset the 'applecart'. I went for a ride.

I headed off to the Lighthouse at Mooloolaba. My usual route, it was another great day for a ride with an awful tail wind BUT it was a magnificent ride to the Lighthouse. I was pleasantly surprised as I rode to the top of the bluff where the Lighthouse sits. There anchored less than a kilometer off the mouth of the Mooloolah river was the P&O Pacific Jewel.

My riding stats: Today's ride of 34.3kms was ride #7 and gives me a total of 237.5kms at Dicky and 1,101.24kms on the Gold Coast, giving me a total of 1,338.7kms so far in Qld.

I arrived back at camp about 11:00am to a very clean fiver. It appears to take less time to clean the fiver compared to our old shack. I wonder why? After showering, Marg and I drove over to Currimundi and had coffee and a brownie at Muffin Break and read the GC Bulletin on our iPads, then did a small food shop next door in Woollies. As we left I filled up the mighty Navara and managed to get 10c a litre discount, which equated to $6.50 savings.

Back at camp, I spent the arvo (the same as yesterday) re-coding some of my photos, while Marg caught that 'nanna nap bug' again.

I am trying to eat some of our frozen meals, so I can defrost the 12v freezer. Dinner was 2 frozen meals. They were nice.

Tomorrow, we pack up for our departure on Thursday, back to Broadwater Tourist Park.

8:58am - Heading North at Coondibah Creek.

9:39am - Today's weather photo.

9:45am ish -Another busy day for the Pilots.

9:45am ish - taken from the Beacon.

Day 103 - Wednesday 2nd August 2017.

Pack up day - Dicky Beach Day 15.

I slept like a log again, and we woke about 7:15am, and laid in bed and watched "Sunrise" then got ourselves organised.
Before I started packing up outside, we drove over to Currimundi and had coffee and a brownie at Muffin Break and read the GC Bulletin on our iPads.
Back at camp, I started to pack up. The ground would take 1st place, as it was an absolute bugger to get the pegs in, well, it was an absolute 'prick' getting them out. I bent a few small pegs getting them in, I couldn't believe how hard the ground was and pulling them out, the ground just wouldn't let go. Marg made beautiful curried egg sangas for lunch and I finished about 1:30pm and had a well deserved shower and then walked over to 'Reelax at Dickie' for a coffee which Marg got caught by that dreaded 'nanna nap bug'.

Back at camp, I spent the remainder of the arvo (the same as yesterday) re-coding some of my photos.

Tonight was the end of our frozen meals, so the 12v freezer has been turned off until we shop tomorrow or Friday. Dinner was 2 frozen meals. They were nice.

Tomorrow, we drive the 170kms back to Broadwater Tourist Park.

No photos OR riding today.
