We setup camp at Gwydir CP on site 10, as we were buggered we didn't visit the thermal pools. I am having an early night, the alarm is set for 7am in the morning, when we head off to stay at Leighton's Peak Hill CP.

Day 90 - Moree to Peak Hill - 447kms.

Last time we were staying here at Gwydir CP, Moree, the overnight temperature got down to minus 3, last night it got to PLUS 10.1, postively balmy.
I went to bed about 8pm and had a beautiful sleep, I was feeling tired after yesterday's large drive. This morning I woke up and got up at 5:50am, had a shower, the water pressure was great. Now about to pack up and leave for Leighton's scones, well actually, Pauline makes the world famous scones.
So bye 4 now.

Well we are at Leighton's arrived about 1:30pm. My highlight of the drive was talking to the truckies, some of the truckies have seen us on the road, they remember our name on the back of the fiver. They complimented me on being very courteous towards the truckies. I was embarrassed.
We stopped for fuel at Narrabri, stopped at a Rest Area just before Coonabrabran, stopped in Gilgandra for lunch and then stopped for fuel at Peak Hill.

We are back from dinner at the Peak Hill RSL, the meal was yumma, the beer cold and Marg won on the pokies, so a great night or evening. Also ask Leighton for the free drink voucher at the RSL.

Tomorrow we are booked in at Parklands, Shepparton.
    1. Friday Night - staying at The Parklands CP, Shepparton.
    2. Saturday afternoon - Home, hopefully.

Lunch at Gilgandra.

I slept to 5:30am, then I was awake. We packed up and left about 7:30am, on the way out of Leighton's, I used his dump point and emptied both our gray and black water tanks. The traffic southbound was very light the whole day. We stopped at Forbes for a break, then at Beckom Rest Area for a break, then at Narrandera for fuel and lunch at Gillenbach Rest Area, then at Jerilderie Rest Area, then at Strathmerton for a break and finally filled up with diesel at Shepparton. We arrived at Big 4 Parklands, Shepparton at 3:30pm, we treated ourselves with a nice drive thru en suite site for $31.50 with Big4 discount applied.

Tomorrow we plan to arrive home about 1pm.

Day 92 - Shepparton to Home - 204kms.

Our last day of this adventure, it is filled with sadness and excitement.
Sadness because this trip has come to an end, we now have to wait until 6th March 2011 when we are off for 7 months. We may do some small week trips in the meantime
Excitement because we are going home for some R & R. Nothing beats home.

We left Shepparton at 7:30am and drove to the Service Centre just past Seymour on the Hume Fwy and then stopped at the Service Centre on the Western Ring just before Geelong Rd turnoff, then arrived home about 10:30am without any dramas.

I have to unpack and clean the fiver because I have to be at Sandown Motor Racing circuit on Friday at 8am for the Sandown Leisurefest. This is the 3rd year that I will driving our rig around Sandown, so if you are there, come and say "Hi" and I can take you for a couple of laps around Sandown, if you wish.
